A kitchen remodel project can be quite a task to undertake. Not only do you need to have all the planning done beforehand, but you need to be able to live in your home without your kitchen for a bit. A local family waited for exactly the right time in order start their kitchen remodel, but they knew they had to do something about their existing space.
“We have done a lot of renovations on the house, but held off renovating the kitchen until last knowing it would be a big project. With a very busy family and four active children, we were always hesitant to have the disruption of a major renovation to such a critical space. It was 20 years in the planning!” – customer
Deciding to work with our designer Meg O’Neill, who was a previous acquaintance, the customers visited our Cabinet DiscountersAnnapolis showroom. Once inside they knew that Cabinet Discounters was the right place for them.
“I met Meg outside of her work and knew she worked at Cabinet Discounters. Although I had no personal experience with the company, I felt she would be easy to work with. I was also very impressed when she shared some of the charity work she had done with the support of Cabinet Discounters. I explored the website and liked what I saw in the online galleries. We then met in the showroom where we could see the products in person, she began sketching a plan and pulling samples, and we decided to go forward.” – customer
The customers were very happy with their experience working with not only Meg, but everyone they encountered from our team.
“The whole project went very well. Meg was great, a true professional, offering suggestions and advice but also clearly sensitive to my own ideas and thoughts and easily incorporated those into the plan. She was very supportive throughout the process and patient with unavoidable delays in the early planning stages. The delivery guys were punctual, polite, and efficient. My own contractors were there to meet them and began installation immediately. There was some trim that was left off the initial order and there was some custom on-site adjustment to the cabinet under the stovetop that required re-ordering of some parts, but this all went very quickly and did not significantly hold up the job. After installation, I ordered some additional drawer inserts through Meg and the ordering and delivery went very efficiently. My contractor also enjoyed working with Meg, which is a good indication that things went smoothly.” – customer
Working along with Meg, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Wabash doors for their kitchen. The perimeter cabinetry has a Maple Oatmeal finish, and the island is Natural Maple with Ebony glaze. The countertops are Cambria Havergate quartz.
“We love our kitchen! It’s definitely a place that will bring a lot of joy to many people. We are cooking a lot, and because it’s such a happy place to be, we’re taking the time to create healthier meals. We’ve entertained for our very large extended family several times already and also entertained for friends. It’s a very easy, comfortable place to entertain. The whole atmosphere is very warm and inviting.” – customer
