Our featured project for this week is a recent bathroom remodel gave this home two updated spaces with distinct looks while maintaining a consistent style throughout. Designed by Meg O’Neill out of the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Annapolis, MD, the project included a full primary bathroom renovation along with a smaller secondary bathroom.
The primary bathroom centers around a custom double vanity featuring Brighton Cabinetry with Shaker Veneer doors in Maple Maritime. The deep blue cabinetry provides contrast against the white quartz countertops, large wall mirror, and light tile throughout the room. Two tall storage cabinets frame the vanity, creating additional storage without taking away from the open feel of the space. A walk-in glass shower, simple plumbing fixtures, and neutral finishes keep the design clean and functional while allowing the cabinetry to be the focal point.
The secondary bathroom follows the same design approach on a smaller scale. A compact vanity with also in Brighton Cabinetry with Shaker Veneer doors, but this time in Quartersawn White Oak Parched brings warmth to the room while making efficient use of the available space. Paired with a quartz countertop, black-framed mirror, and polished fixtures, the vanity gives the bathroom a simple, updated appearance without feeling crowded.
Although the two bathrooms use different cabinet finishes, they complement one another through similar materials, hardware, and overall styling. The result is a pair of spaces that each fit their purpose while feeling connected as part of the same home.This project is a good example of how thoughtful selections can shape both large and small bathrooms. By combining practical storage with straightforward design choices, Meg was able to create two spaces that are built for everyday use and designed to stand the test of time.
