The Cabinet Discounters featured project for this week comes to you out of our Chantilly, VA showroom. A local family was looking to switch things up in their home, as their existing kitchen was over 20 years old and not the best quality, and they were looking for a more modern, cohesive look throughout their home.
“Our cabinets were over 30 years old and of builder grade quality. Not only did we desire to improve the design and look of the kitchen, but we also wanted improved functionality.”
After having seen the Cabinet Discounters commercials on TV multiple times, the family decided to stop inside our showroom to see what we had to offer.
“My husband and I had seen many ads on television for Cabinet Discounters and one day when we were out and about, we saw the storefront in Chantilly and decided to pop in and see what they had to offer.”
Once inside our store, the family met with designer Waleska Feliciano. They were able to tell Waleska what they wanted and needed in a new kitchen, and she was able to come up with a plan to fit their space. The family was extremely pleased, not only with the knowledge and expertise from Waleska, but also from everyone else involved with their project.
“Everyone we encountered and worked with throughout the kitchen and bathroom projects, from Waleska, our designer, Wayne, our carpenter, and Benito, our tiler, were very personable and professional. They were all very highly qualified and delivered what they promised.”
Working along with Waleska, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Hampton doors. The perimeter cabinets are Hickory with a custom stain, and the island cabinets are Maple Basil. The countertops are Viatera Delicato quartz. This project was installed by Cabinet Discounters. The first floor powder room was also remodeled during this project, with Brighton Cabinetry, Bryant doors, and Maple Maritime with Calacatta Miraggio Cielo quartz.
“We are thrilled with the end result of be both rooms. We have received countless compliments on both spaces. We have definitely been cooking and entertaining much more since the renovation completion.”

The flow of the kitchen is so much better, with everything having its own space and not having to remove things to reach what we need. Given the custom nature that Cabinet Discounters provides, we were able to get wood that matched our cabinets to wrap a beam in the adjoining family room to tie the two rooms together. We were also able to do a custom arch in our kitchen with floating shelves that also matched our cabinets. As this was the inspiration for the entire kitchen, we were very excited to see it executed so well.”
