“Would 100% recommend working with Meg and Cabinet Discounters!”

Have you recently moved into a new home knowing that you’ll need to make some improvements? Maybe some of the spaces are too small for your family, or the style you’ve moved into is simply too outdated. If you can relate to this, then a kitchen remodel may be in your future. A local family was dealing with a similar issue, and they were ready to begin their project.
“We bought our house knowing we would need to remodel to work best with our family and lifestyle. The previous owners had been in for 20+ years and although the style was adorable, it was too outdated for us.  We also wanted to open up the space for functionality.”
After originally working with another company and feeling displeased, the family used the suggestion of their designer to turn to Cabinet Discounters.
“Our designer recommended Cabinet Discounters. We had started the kitchen design process with a local kitchen designer who charged for the design and then you still go and buy everything etc.  our designer recommended CD because they had worked with them often already and said we could accomplish everything we were looking to do with Meg and be completely satisfied and most likely for less money.”
The customers visited our Annapolis showroom and were advised to meet with designer Meg O’Neill. They were very happy with how everything turned out during their experience.
“Meg was amazing to work with!   She was very knowledgeable and had great ideas. She also was very patient with my indecision and extra questions. She also gave me freedom to make different choices that weren’t necessarily common and helped pull it all together.”
Working along with Meg, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Custom Level door style. The upper cabinetry is done with Maple Lace color, and the lower and tall cabinets are a custom color on maple.

“We love our kitchen!  The color combo is perfect and all of the glass doors help make it feel like it still fits with our 100 year old house – just updated!   There was only so much we could do with the space and age of the house and we definitely utilized the space well.”

With all of the improvements in their space, the family is finding life in their new kitchen to be significantly easier than before.

“Like lots of families with 3 kids, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen/eating area. Dinners, homework, snacks, catching up. We downsized our kitchen with this new house and I was concerned at first but the kitchen layout works great for us. We have everything we need, the appliances are in the right spots and everyone has access to what they need. Opening up the wall and making the large island has been great for prep and serving.”

Despite some issues that arose with their house along the way, Meg worked closely with the customers to ensure that everything came out great in the end.

“There were a couple tiny glitches with the house and uneven walls and crazy construction, etc and Meg was there to help me work through them and helped get a couple things redone.  For example, the original plan had drawers pulling out next to the stove which would have been the most efficient. Once we got the stove and large handle in, the utensil drawers didn’t get a change to open more than half way. Meg came and checked it out and we realized we could FLIP the cabinet and bump it out to match the rest of the island.  I was fine with settling for the design because it wasn’t anyone’s fault really but am so happy Meg was able to help make the drawers actually function the way they were intended. Little things like that really made the experience even better than it was originally.  Would 100% recommend working with Meg and CD!”
