Is your kitchen too small to properly function for your family? Are you finding it difficult to host people, hard to move around, or impossible to find countertop space? If your kitchen is frustratingly small, it may be time to do something about it. A local family found themselves in a similar predicament, and they knew that something had to change.
“The kitchen was always just too small and we like to entertain, we had planned on renovating for years. We did small updates through the years but in the end we just decided it was time to do it. Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room down we were able to open the space up and make it more inviting.”
The family had several friends who had previously worked with Cabinet Discounters, and they were very happy to see the results. Using the recommendation of their friends, the family decided to visit our Gaithersburg showroom.
“Several friends had used Cabinet Discounters and one of those kitchens was our favorite.”
Once inside our store, the family met with designer Tess Moran. They were impressed by Tess’ expertise when it came to their project, and appreciated all of her advice and suggestions.
“Tess was extremely knowledgeable, patient and flexible. She recommended without persuading. She was always communicating with us and updating us and even got our install moved up a bit.”
Aside from Tess, the family was also extremely pleased with everyone else involved on their project from plumbers and electricians, to the guys who delivered their cabinetry.
“The contractors – carpenter, plumber & electrician were great. Each one was prompt, efficient, professional and tidy. Each were as personable as the other and made us fell as comfortable as they could with their coming and going , our kitchen being torn up, walls being taken down and everyone walking around on plywood. Delivery people and follow up carpenter were all top notch too. The whole install did not take as long as initially anticipated.”
Working along with Tess, the family selected Century Cabinetry with Mission door style and Willow color. The countertops are Calacatta Classique quartz.
“To say we are happy with the outcome is putting it mildly…we are thrilled. We still look around and marvel. Friends and family have been amazed by the transformation as well.”
With their new kitchen, the family is now able to host friends and family and enjoy the freedom to move around their no-longer-cramped kitchen.
“We have really started to enjoy entertaining more. It is a nice open inviting space now with plenty of counter space and room for a group of people.”
In the end, the family couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
“*We had no cabinet space before. We had so many kitchen items such as crockpots, china, crystal, electric skillets, barware and various bakeware stored in different closets all over my house. Life is easier because everything is where it should be, in the kitchen!”
