Warmer colors are starting to come back in the kitchen. Diverting away from the all-white look that has been common in so many kitchens over the past decade or so, and also moving away from the grays, the inviting hues of wood-toned cabinetry are gaining popularity. While white isn’t entirely gone from the kitchen, it’s being paired with wood grains to create an inviting style. This kitchen is no different, and features white cabinets and countertops accented by white oak.
This customer was ready to embark on a kitchen remodel, and they luckily knew someone at Cabinet Discounters. They visited our Gaithersburg and met with designer Mike Bliss. They discussed their needs and wants in a new kitchen and Mike came up with an idea and a plan on how to proceed. He offered ideas and suggestions that increased functionality and storage, and the customers loved what they saw.
After drawing up the design, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry with Heritage door style. The upper cabinets are Maple Lace, while the base, island, and pantry cabinets are all Quartersawn White Oak Whitewash.
The white colors still come through in this kitchen with the Lace cabinets, the countertops, and backsplash, but the Quartersawn White Oak cabinets truly add warmth to the space. With the white oak cabinets taking up such a large amount of space in the kitchen, they are truly appealing and make the room feel much more inviting and cozy.
In addition to the modern kitchen hues, the kitchen has also become much more functional than in its previous version. Increased countertop space, increased storage, and an improved flow for traffic throughout the room all combine to give this kitchen the refresh it needed.
