Brighton Cabinetry was selected in the Heritage door style, with Maple Cashmere used on the perimeter and Maple Maritime on the island. The two-tone design adds contrast without overpowering the room, and the deep blue island naturally becomes the focal point of the space. Its generous size provides seating, extra storage, and a large work surface, making it just as practical for everyday meals as it is for hosting family and friends.
Vicostone Costa Nova quartz was chosen for both the perimeter and island countertops, bringing everything together with a clean look. The light quartz works well with both cabinet finishes and helps keep the kitchen feeling bright, especially with the large windows and a high ceiling bringing in plenty of natural light.
There are also several thoughtful details throughout the design. A paper towel rack is subtly recessed into the island cabinetry to free up even more countertop space, while floating shelves add a place for personal touches without making the room feel crowded. Tall cabinetry around the refrigerator and wall ovens maximizes storage, and the island farmhouse sink keeps the workspace centered while allowing whoever is cooking to stay connected with the adjoining living and dining areas.
The finished kitchen is a good example of how a simple combination of color, storage, and layout can completely change the way a space functions. With its open floor plan, two-tone cabinetry, and large gathering island, this is a kitchen that’s designed to be used every day while still feeling welcoming for guests.
