Have you been stuck in an outdated kitchen for longer than you can stand? Is your patience running thin with your kitchen, and you simply can’t take it anymore? Whether from functionality, wear and tear, or you simply don’t have enough room to move around, an old kitchen can be quite the source of frustration. A local family was tired of their old space and was ready to improve their life in their kitchen.
“We opted to renovate our kitchen rather than remodel to save time and money. The existing space was ample but not very functional. The 80’s cabinets were well worn and dated. I had some ideas of what I wanted in a new kitchen and also knew I needed pro help.”
After looking around at several other companies, the family decided to work with Cabinet Discounters because of the quality and price of our products.
” I went to 3 contractors and chose Cabinet Discounters. All companies showed me the layout I wanted – including removing a peninsula and adding an island. Both other companies were much higher priced. One did not even offer a written estimate of the costs.”
The customers visited our Olney, MD showroom and met with designer Colleen Reilly. They were very happy with Colleen’s knowledge and expertise and her ability to come up with a plan that worked within their space and their budget.
“My consultant, Colleen Reilley, was wonderful to work with from the beginning. She clearly answered my questions, explained all my options and helped me choose everything. I liked her suggestions and trusted her advice which made the decision making easier. At our first meeting Colleen showed me the layout and a detailed breakdown of all the various costs. She then came to the house, took measurements and discussed styles, colors, etc. I originally chose a white shaker cabinet but decided to go for a more transitional/ earthy color. The Fallon stain is lovely to me. Sometimes it seems brown and sometimes grayish brown. The Denali quartz coordinates beautifully. Colleen also helped me choose the hardware, tile backsplash and even the grout.”
In addition to their experience with Colleen, the family was extremely pleased with every other person involved with their project.
“The people at Cabinet Discounters were in contact with me throughout the entire project. The delivery group was on time and carefully placed all the boxes. The demo team was fast and cleaned up all the debris. Plumbers, carpenters, electricians and tile installer were all well coordinated, timely and professional. Colleen was always available if I had any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend Colleen and Cabinet Discounters.”
Working along with Colleen, the family selected Homecrest Cabinetry with Sedona Maple door style and Fallow stain. The countertops are Vicostone Denali quartz.
“My experience with Cabinet Discounters was very positive due to their pricing, workmanship and project management. The new kitchen is such an improvement in looks and functionality. The island with seating is a favorite. The drawers and pull out pantry shelves are wonderful for storage. I smile every time I walk in. I only wish we had done the renovation sooner!”
