That’s what a local family decided to do when it came to their master bathroom.
“We were originally looking at moving and downsizing, but nothing we saw seemed to fit well for us and all of the places were no major downsize in cost. We decided instead to refinance our current house at the then low interest rates and cash out some equity to make renovations to our current house.”
Looking around for places with which to work on their bathroom remodel, the family visited the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Olney to begin their project. Once inside our showroom, they met with designer Colleen Reilly. Colleen talked with them and was able to help them envision what their project would look like with us.
“We walked into the Cabinet Discounters showroom in Olney and met with Colleen. She was able to answer some questions and show us some different products which fit what we were looking to do with the remodel so after some discussion we decided to move forward.”
Colleen was able to guide them through the process and get their project off the ground. Although this case study only focuses on the master bathroom, the family also remodeled two other bathrooms as well, and they were very pleased with how smoothly everything went. They found that the communication about when different aspects of their remodel would be scheduled was clear and helpful.
“Working with the Cabinet Discounters team was excellent. Remodeling time frames always seem to extend longer than expected, but it was all well managed. We had two full bathrooms and one powder room all redone with new flooring, toilets, new tub and surround in the hall bathroom, and the Master Bath was completely redone with new flooring, vanities, mirrors, free standing tub, new shower with surround and frameless shower enclosure and door. The Cabinet Discounter people kept everything straight and well scheduled on a plan that we could see what would be happening every step of the way.”
Working along with Colleen, the family selected Century Cabinetry with Annandale door style and Blue color for their vanities. The countertops are Viatera Minuet quartz.
“We are extremely happy with the outcome. All of the bathrooms are a major improvement from the previous condition. The master bathroom brings a smile to our faces everyday.”
The family has found that the new bathrooms are making life significantly easier.
“We don’t have to deal with flooring tiles that are loose and coming up. The age of the previous bathrooms was showing. The new vanities are really nice with lots of additional storage and drawer space along with the fact that the drawers actually work. The original vanities were a builder basic and never worked really well from the time we moved in. We love the new flooring in all of the bathrooms and the shower surrounds in both of the upstairs bathrooms are a huge upgrade and look so nice. The new lighting in the master bath is also really nice.”
In the end, they were very happy with how everything went with their project.
