The Howdershell family found their kitchen in dire need of an update, but at the same time wanted to increase the eventual re-sale value of their home.
“We decided it was time to remodel because we had been in the house for 20 years and the kitchen & family room needed an update. At some point, we would like to downsize and wanted to have a new kitchen in place for sales purposes, but wanted to enjoy the new kitchen before we decide to sell.” – Mrs. Howdershell
Working with the installation department from Cabinet Discounters, the family found all work was done efficiently and all workers were attentive to their needs and quickly came up with solutions whenever any issues arose.
In addition to the installers, the Howdershells were thrilled with the design expertise and experience of their designer Tammy.
“We loved working with Tammy to design and fine-tune details of the kitchen. She is an artist and has been doing tile and other design things, so she was great help with design ideas, colors and style. Tammy is very nice and helpful. If she didn’t know the answer herself, she would always find out. Tammy was always available to answer questions or come by the house to help figure out solutions or to see what tile or other feature would look best in our kitchen with the particular look we wanted.” – Mrs. Howdershell
Working with Tammy, the Howdershells selected Brighton Cabinetry with a Maple Iceberg finish and a Monroe door style. The white cabinets are paired with LG Viatera Rococo quartz countertops. The backsplash tiles are ceramic from Jeffrey Court Chapter 17 Atlas Riverwash in 3″x 12″ size. Contrasting the light-colored kitchen, the floor tiles are Fiandre Nihon Ishi 12″ x 24″ porcelain tiles.
“We love the new kitchen! It is so pretty and came out even better than we had expected! I love using my new kitchen and invite friends in to see the final product.
