Have you been stuck putting up with your out of date kitchen or bathroom? With the extended time at home due to the pandemic, many people are noticing the glaring flaws that have either popped up, or have been there all along and are now just becoming more and more obvious. If you’ve hit your breaking point, you may be ready to start on a remodeling project. A local family found themselves in a similar situation. They were spending much more time at their lake house, and now had come to the realization that they needed to make some updates.
“We have owned the home for over 20 years and wanted to update and brighten the interior. We had been using the home mostly on weekends and summers but found ourselves using it more and also using it differently. Of course the pandemic and work from home orders changed things up a lot — giving us the opportunity to now work remote.”
After searching around for a company with which to work on their project, the family decided to work with Cabinet Discounters. They were drawn to our Chantilly showroom because of their relationship with our designer, SueAnn Dressler, and also because of the quality products that we offer.
“We had looked around at a lot of different options but were very impressed with SueAnn Dressler and the selection and quality of the options at Cabinet Discounters.”
The family was very pleased with their experience with SueAnn. She was able to give them advice when they needed it, and come up with a plan that worked just for them.
“SueAnn understood our vision and worked with us to be sure that every detail reflected this vision. She helped us select cabinets which were consistent with the style of our home but were updated and functional. She then guided us to counters which would brighten the space but also work well with existing home materials such as the heart of pine walls and wood flooring.”
Working along with SueAnn, the customers selected Homecrest Cabinetry with Sedona Maple door style and French Vanilla Opaque color. The countertops are Nougat quartz from Caesarstone.
“Previously the kitchen and bathrooms were dark and lacked sufficient counter space. It was difficult to reach items in the back of the kitchen cabinets and the layout caused a bottleneck making it difficult for more than one person to move around in the kitchen. The kitchen is now bright and lets in a lot of natural lighting. The extended counters and functional storage such as drawers and deep pantry make working in the kitchen an absolute dream. The new cabinet layout, placing the dishwasher on the other side of the sink and eliminating the peninsula improves the traffic flow and provides ample space for multiple people to be in the kitchen.”
In the end, the family is extremely happy with how everything went and how everything turned out in their home.
“We are very pleased with our interactions with SueAnn Dressler and the quality of the Cabinet Discounters product. We are absolutely overjoyed with the outcome. There isn’t anything we would change!”
