“The Prices Were Actually Better” Than Our Competitors
There can be many different reasons why one decides to remodel their kitchen. It could be old, having failing appliances or cabinets, or just simply be not big enough for your family. However, in this week’s featured project, our customer was looking to add to her craft of remodeling kitchens in older homes.
“It’s a passion of mine – I love to update old homes and give them life again. I sold my home in Alexandria in early June 2019 and temporarily moved to my 2nd house in Colonial Beach, VA while I was looking for the right property. It so happened my fiance got a new job in Rockville, so we started our search there. Knowing I wanted to put my personal touch on it, this home was exactly what I was looking for. It had the ability to create an open floor plan, and the character I love to enhance.” – customer
Having previously worked with one of our competitors, the customer decided to work with us this time. She was extremely happy with the results.
“On my Alexandria home I used Reico and have no real complaints. I just wanted to try a different company and knew of Cabinet Discounters. The reviews were great and the prices were actually better! I didn’t know this until we were into the process of design, but it was a pleasant surprise!” – customer
Her search took her to our Gaithersburg showroom. Once inside the store, she met with designer Phil Heinz who was able to work within her budget to get her exactly what she had been looking for.
“Phil was exceptional. From the moment we met, I knew we had similar personalities. He knew I had some knowledge from my previous kitchen design and didn’t oppose my quick decision making. He made suggestions that would enhance my vision and save me money. He stayed within my budget and was extremely responsive – which is very important to me. During renovations, responsiveness is key to getting things done on time and Phil understood that. He set the right expectations with me and kept me informed along the way and that is all I can ask for!” – customer
Working along with Phil, the customer selected Homecrest Cabinetry for her kitchen with Brenner Maple doors. The cabinetry along the wall is Alpine Opaque color, and the island cabinetry is Onyx Opaque. The countertops are LG Viatera Minuet quartz.
“To me, the kitchen is the heart of the home. I look forward to coming home to it every day and love spending time cooking, entertaining and utilizing my 14 ft. island! Highly recommend your services and will use again. Thanks, Cabinet Discounters!” – customer
