Are you stuck with an out of date kitchen? Does it feel like you’ve re-entered the 1980’s every time you walk into your kitchen? Then you are not alone! Many people are in the same position as you, and one local family decided that a change was needed.
“We wanted to update our kitchen. The laminate counters definitely seemed dated, the floor was showing lots of wear. It was a great kitchen in the 1980’s, now not so much. We wanted a more functional layout, modern appliances, cabinets, lighting and open up the kitchen design and bring our design in line with current trends.” – customer
After having talked with a neighbor who had remodeled their kitchen with Cabinet Discounters, the customers visited our Springfield showroom and worked with designer Lois Elliott.
“Our neighbor was showing off her kitchen to us and was raving about the quality design by Lois and construction work by Wayne. We set up an appointment to meet with Lois and our personalities clicked. The price was competitive and we made a deposit.” – customer
The family was very pleased with the quality of service they received from Lois and our entire team. Despite some unexpected bumps along the way, everything went off smoothly.
“We have nothing but good things to say about the entire team. Lois was imaginative and focused on the essential details. She would take time to explain each decision. And then when we were stuck on some choices (granite, tile, backsplash), she would help us out to view different possibilities. Once the design was set, a detailed project plan was laid out. Our project was scheduled over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We were very pleasantly surprised when everything was done on schedule despite obstacles. Everyone who we dealt with was courteous and always let us know what the next steps were. They were mindful that we were without a kitchen for a number of weeks and worked to minimize the impact on us.” – customer
Working along with Lois, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry with Lakeland doors and Cherry Wilshire finish. The countertops are Typhoon Bordeaux granite. The backsplash tile is Roca Maiolica ceramic 4×10″ tiles in the color Biscuit. The floor tile is Florida Tile Cliffside in 12×12″, 18×18″, and 12×24″ sizes.
“Our new kitchen looks great. We have shown it off to family and friends and received lots of compliments. We have done a lot of cooking and entertaining, had a number of visitors and guests and the kitchen has worked out better than we anticipated. We are very pleased.” – customer
