Have you been living with an outdated kitchen in your home for a while? Maybe you moved into a new home with intentions of remodeling the kitchen, and you simply cannot stand it any longer. That’s where a local family found themselves. They knew they had wanted to update their kitchen once they moved in, and they knew it was the right time to do something about it.
“When we purchased the home we 1) had intentions of updating/upgrading the entire home and 2) the kitchen was the room that I liked the least in the entire house when we bought it.”
The family had a neighbor who had remodeled their kitchen using Cabinet Discounters. After hearing of their experience, the family visited our Mt. Airy showroom because of its convenience to their home. Once inside, they met with designer Wendy Ames to get started on their project.
“Our neighbor had used Cabinet Discounters which made us realize there was a location close to us in Mount Airy. We went in to see what Cabinet Discounters had to offer and we immediately connected with Wendy. The most important part isn’t necessarily cabinets from one store to another as they’re generally the same, but rather the experience working with the designer and staff.”
From Wendy to the countertop installers from Creative In Counters, everyone combined to make this project a success. Even when there was an issue with one of the cabinets upon delivery, the customer was extremely happy that we were able to still make everything work along their timeline.
“Everybody was extremely helpful, especially Wendy and the Countertop folks. I did the renovation myself (with help from family and friends) and they were very accommodating. For example, when the cabinets were delivered, one of the base cabinets in the island was damaged. They allowed me to set the broken cabinet to do the countertop measurements and delivered the outer countertops one day and the island another after the new cabinet arrived. This was incredibly helpful to giving us a mostly useable kitchen weeks sooner. This was the type of service that I received and was invaluable to keeping my project on track”
Working along with Wendy, the customers selected Homecrest Cabinetry for their kitchen. The perimeter cabinetry has Sedona Maple doors and French Vanilla Opaque color. The island cabinetry has Sedona Hickory doors and Anchor finish. The countertops are Brown Persa granite.
“We are extremely happy with the outcome. Our kitchen is perfect for us and fits the house much better and makes great use of the space. Thanks to everyone at CDI and CIC for your help!”
