My New Kitchen Is “Truly A Showcase Of The Entire Team’s Skills”
If you have a kitchen that’s stuck in the last century, it can be quite the struggle. And aside from everything looking outdated, your cabinets may be too small, failing, or falling apart. When it’s time for a kitchen remodel, you know, and a local family had hit that point where they knew something needed to be done about their space.
“Our kitchen was last remodeled 25 years ago and had that “stuck in the 90s” look to it. Additionally, our appliances were aging so it seemed like a good time to take on the project.”
Having previously used Cabinet Discounters for another kitchen remodel many years ago, the customers returned to our Springfield showroom when they were ready to get started on this project.
“We first remodeled our kitchen in 1995 and we chose Cabinet Discounters then to do the project. We had such a positive experience so decided to return to Cabinet Discounters for our second go round with updating our kitchen.”
Once inside our showroom, they met with designer Tessa Kolmus. Tessa was able to listen to their wants and needs and come up with suggestions that worked best inside their space and their budget.
“From beginning to end our experience with working with Cabinet Discounters employees was wonderful. We first began planning our project with designer Tessa Kolmus in October 2019. We signed the paper work to begin in January 2020 with a start date of March. As the world knows, along came Covid-19. Our project was understandably delayed for a while but started up in April. Everything went along exactly as planned on the calendar set up by CD. Working with Tessa was a pleasure. Her calm, but sparkly personality was a good match for us. I looked forward to every meeting we had together. She was a good listener, offered great design and product choices, and guided us with a good balance of offering ideas and products but making sure the final decisions were made by us.”
In addition to their experience with Tessa, the family was also extremely pleased with the level of service they received from everyone else who contributed to their project.
“Our carpenter, Brian, was fabulous and clearly a skilled craftsman. I have no idea how he was able to complete the entire demolition and install without assistance. Our other workers, Will (electrician) and Donny (plumber) were also great. Everyone showed up as scheduled, and worked carefully and efficiently. The final outcome was exactly what we hoped for, and truly a showcase of the entire team’s skills.”
Working along with Tessa, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry with Monroe Flat door style and Maple Slate finish. The countertops are Cambria Berwyn quartz. With their new space, the family is looking forward to cooking, spending time together, and eventually hosting friends when it is once again safe to do so.
“Primarily as we always have, for cooking and family time. We look forward to sharing our new space with friends when we are able to gather safely. Hopefully in 2021! “
