There can be many different issues which eventually lead you down the road to a kitchen remodel. Maybe your cabinets are falling apart, your kitchen is too small, or your appliances are failing. Whatever the reason, they are all valid concerns and are things that need to be addressed. A local family found themselves in need of a new, larger refrigerator, and their existing kitchen had inadequate space to handle the size of the new appliance they wanted.
“I decided to remodel initially because I needed a new refrigerator and I wanted it to be larger. The cabinet space did not allow for a larger refrigerator. Also my cabinets were cherry and the counter tops were dark so the whole kitchen seemed dark to me.”
Being a designer who had worked along with Cabinet Discounters multiple times in the past, the customer new exactly where to turn when it came to her own kitchen remodel.
“As a designer I used Cabinet Discounters several times for my clients and they were always pleased with the results. I also recommended them to my daughter who also went through a complete kitchen remodel.”
Visiting our Gaithersburg showroom, the family met with our designer Tess Moran. They were thrilled by their experience working with Tess, and were very pleased with her promptness and design skills.
“My contact at Cabinet Discounters was Tess Moran who was excellent. She did a wonderful job of redesigning the space and the kitchen now works better in every way. She checked in regularly to see how things were going and always responded promptly to emails. We had an issue with my hood design and I felt she had my back in getting it resolved. She was always cheerful and ready to help in any way. I would highly recommend her!!!”
In addition to working with Tess, the family also used the installation department at Cabinet Discounters. They were very happy with the craftsmanship and abilities of our installers.
“Unlike my daughter who hired her own contractor to install the kitchen, I decided to go for a turn key kitchen where someone else would do all the coordinating. It was fairly painless in that regard and I was always kept advised of the schedule. All the contractors were excellent and very professional.”
Working along with Tess, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry for their kitchen. The perimeter cabinets have Neoga Ridge Raised door style and Maple Oatmeal color. The island cabinetry also has Neoga Ridge Raised doors, but is done in Cherry Bliss stain. The countertops are Cambria Ironsbridge quartz.
The family is now finding out that their new kitchen is much easier to use, and they have been spending more time together in their new space.
“You asked if I used the kitchen differently now and the answer’s yes. Because of the larger island my husband and I eat most of our meals there now. It is also so much easier for meal prep as I can now spread out.”
