A Multitude of Issues Pave The Way For A Brand New Kitchen
Discovering a serious issue in your kitchen can be just the motivation you need to undertake a renovation. That’s where a local family found themselves after finding they may have a potential problem with plumbing in their kitchen. Couple that with aging cabinets, and it was time for something new.
“We decided to remodel because the existing cabinets (only about 15 years old) were not holding up very well. Also, we had been told that the noise that occurred when we ran the washing machine was coming from a loose pipe in the wall behind the refrigerator and wall cabinets. In order to fix it, we were told that the wall would have to be opened up and the cabinets taken down. My husband felt that if we were going to have to do all that, we should use it as a good opportunity to go ahead and do the remodeling we had been considering. Believe it or not, when they opened the wall, there were NO pipes in the wall back there. So, the poor quality of the cabinets that came with the house actually helped validate the whole thing.” – customer
After searching around several different places, the family chose Cabinet Discounters after receiving a recommendation from a friend.
“We interviewed several different companies and even got plans from one of them. We were not very impressed. A friend of ours recommended Cabinet Discounters who had used a different designer than we ended up using.” – customer
Visiting our Gaithersburg showroom, the family met with designer Mike Bliss and were very happy with the service they received.
“We worked with Mike in the Gaithersburg store. We can’t speak highly enough of our experience with him. He was patient and flexible. He went out of his way to come up with alternative solutions to some problem areas in the kitchen. He was willing to make modifications throughout the job and was very responsive to any questions we had.” – customer
Working along with Mike, the customers chose Brighton Cabinetry for their kitchen with Ramsey door style. The perimeter cabinetry is maple with Landmark finish. The island cabinetry is Quarter Sawn White Oak with Peppercorn finish. The countertops are Alaska White granite. The space also includes a desk area which is adjacent to the kitchen, and provides a convenient spot for working.
“We use the area for personal—-and entertainment—purposes. Everyone who has seen the kitchen is totally impressed. We absolutely love our new kitchen. We plan on using Mike and Cabinet Discounters when we remodel the bathroom.” – customer
