Hoping to refresh their dated kitchen, the Coble family was set on remodeling. However, their experience with another remodeling company momentarily put those plans on hold.
“We had a fully functioning kitchen, however, it was dated. I wanted to renovate for several years, however, thought about waiting until after I retired to take on this project. With no retirement date in sight, I decided to not wait any longer. I worked for almost months with another kitchen company and was very frustrated because the draft plans never fully reflected the changes I requested. I decided I could live with my existing kitchen. Then I had two friends strongly recommend Cabinet Discounters.” – Mrs. Coble
Acting on the advice of their friends, the Coble family visited the Cabinet Discounters Annapolis showroom and met with designer Meg O’Neill. What they experienced greatly surpassed the service offered by the other company.
“I stopped by Cabinet Discounters Annapolis location, met Meg O’Neill. In about one week, Meg presented me with a kitchen plan that I loved and we decided to move forward. Meg was wonderful to work with and made great suggestions about every aspect of the design, materials and finishes.” – Mrs. Coble
Along with working with Meg, the Cobles were beyond happy with all the other aspects of their remodeling experience and all of the other parts that worked together to complete their project.
“The cabinets arrived in perfect condition. A couple of doors needed adjustments and the installer from Cabinet Discounters, Ward Street, expertly made the necessary adjustments. The people at [Cabinet Discounters’ countertop fabricator] Creative In Counters in Mt. Airy (Betty Czyryca and Jake Baker) were very engaged and helpful as well. They helped me find the perfect piece of quartz. We had one problem with the countertop, that was resolved to my satisfaction. The counter installers did a great job and were very thoughtful about the solution.” – Mrs. Coble
With Meg’s guidance, the Cobles selected Brighton Cabinetry with a Thompson door style and Maple Iceberg finish for the majority of the kitchen. The peninsula consists of Brighton Cabinetry with Thompson doors and Maple Peppercorn finish. The countertops are Cambria Praa Sands quartz. The cabinetry provides much improved storage and features several glass-front cabinets in order to display several items.
“My husband and I enjoy cooking and entertaining and anticipate enjoying it even more with the improved work flow, additional counter space and better access to cooking implements that our new kitchen provides! My husband did not understand why I would want to renovate a perfectly functioning kitchen. So, you can imagine how thrilled I am to hear him tell people how much he loves the new kitchen. He gives me all the credit, however, I know I need to share his praise with Meg!” – Mrs. Coble
