Improved & Expanded Kitchen “For A Family That Likes To Cook”
Do you and your family like to cook? Do you often find yourselves gathering in your kitchen, but find that there’s not enough room? Are your cabinets too old? Is the floor plan of your kitchen not conducive to everyday use? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you are not alone. A local family was dealing with similar issues in their kitchen, and they knew that it was time to make a change.
“Kitchen was dated (shiny white and 20 years old). Counter top stove was too small for a family that likes to cook. Wanted a larger pantry with pull-outs. The cabinets were a very light shade of maple that my wife didn’t like, and we wanted a cooktop hood vs the microwave above the counter top stove.”
Having previously worked with Cabinet Discounters on a project with their fireplace, the family knew exactly where to turn for help on their kitchen remodel. Additionally, they were very pleased with the quality and price of cabinetry that we offer. So to get started, the family returned to our Olney showroom.
“Quality of Brighton Cabinetry exceeds pretty much everything on the market, Competitive pricing and we had used them before for a fireplace surround and we really liked the carpenter assigned to us. We were able to use him again for the kitchen – he did a great job!”
Once inside our store, the customers met with designer Dave Humerick. They were extremely happy with his professionalism, attention to detail, and knowledge on all aspects of their remodel. They were also very impressed with the quality of work done within their home during uncertain times.
“Dave was very good to work with – very knowledgeable he made great design recommendations. He also stayed on top of the end-to-end team including suppliers, schedulers, delivery, carpentry, plumbing and electric. Even the countertops and tile turned out very well. Dave was also able to ascertain a structural engineer in very short order when we were struck with the surprise of a load bearing wall where none of us expected it. Quality of workmanship exceeded expectations and dealing with the pandemic was professionally handled.”
The family was quite satisfied with all of the work that want into securing the load bearing wall and hiding it within the pantry cabinets.
“The team did so well at improving the structural integrity of our load bearing wall while concealing it in the original design. I don’t think anyone will be able to figure out where it is either by looking at your pictures or by being in our house. That part of the job was truly amazing.”
Working along with Dave, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry with Monroe Flat doors. The perimeter cabinetry has Maple Autumn Haze with brown glaze, and the island cabinets are Maple Coal. The countertops are Cambria Kingston quartz. The backsplash tile is Mediterranea Duomo porcelain tile.
“[We are] delighted. Highly recommended. Our family loves to cook and most of our friends really enjoy cooking as well. Because of the pandemic, we aren’t entertaining but our kitchen and the integration of it with the rest of the home allows us to cook together and spend quality time with all of our guests and family. We look forward to entertaining like we were never able to do as well before the renovation.”
