Knowing that it was time to embark on this project, the family reached out to their interior designer Fay Johnson Brown Interiors to begin their project. Upon Fay’s recommendation, the family decided to work with Cabinet Discounters in Gaithersburg. Specifically, they were directed to work with our designer Steve Mathes.
Steve worked with Fay to provide an amazing design in the kitchen with incredible quality cabinetry throughout the space. The family really wanted to upgrade everything, from the cabinetry to the design, and that’s exactly what they got in this new kitchen.
Working along with Steve, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry with Wabash door style. The upper cabinetry is Maple Slate finish, and the lower cabinets are Maple Truffle. All other materials were provided by outside sources and are not affiliated with Cabinet Discounters.
The results in this kitchen are stunning. A much more open floor plan allows for easy gathering and dining options – whether at the table adjacent to the kitchen, or seated at the raised bar top. The island in the middle gives the family not only more storage space, but also an expanded area for countertops as well. The contrast of the lighter and darker cabinetry is truly appealing and gives the kitchen a modern vibe. The inset cabinet doors also enhance the contemporary look even further. Everything combines together to make this new space truly gorgeous!
