Contemporary Kitchen Remodel At An Excellent Price

“We moved into the home in 2005 – it is a 1950s house that had a small kitchen but had potential for being open to the dining room. We had some other more critical systems (heating/air) that needed to be replaced when we first moved in, but we always planned to remodel the kitchen.” – LaVerne

After doing some research and visiting several other kitchen remodelers, David and LaVerne stopped into the Cabinet Discounters Gaithersburg showroom and met with designer Tess Moran.

“We received pricing on cabinets from other suppliers and felt that we received an excellent price from Cabinet Discounters. We were unsure about the design and when we met with Tess to develop the design, we decided to go with Cabinet Discounters to take care of the design and build out of the kitchen.” – LaVerne

“Overall we had a positive experience with everyone that worked on the job. Tess worked with us to help keep the project within our budget parameters and gave us a very functional design. All of the tradesmen listened to our concerns and were very communicative, especially with the back and forth getting all the details set. Once the work started the installers worked fairly quickly. All of the staff were responsive throughout the process.” – LaVerne

With Tess’ help, David and LaVerne selected HomeCrest Cabinetry with Rainier Maple doors and Anchor finish. The backsplash is Bellavita Bamboo Planks Desert glass tile. All of the materials combine to give the kitchen a great new contemporary look.

“The kitchen is wonderful. It’s a lovely modern room that gives us a lot of space for storage and for cooking. It is much brighter and open than what we had previously. We are very happy with it. The kitchen has become a central gathering place in the house. Our kids age 15 and 17 spend time doing their homework on the peninsula and help out more with meals. We hosted a large family gathering over the holidays and it was able to accommodate 30+ people. We have received a lot of compliments.” – LaVerne
