Cabinetry Sets The Tone For A Kitchen Remodel

When the Robertson family of Monrovia decided they were ready to expand and remodel their kitchen, they chose Cabinet Discounters to design and supply their new kitchen cabinets after a referral from their general contractor.

Working with Mike Bliss, a kitchen designer in the Gaithersburg, MD location, the Robertsons were able to achieve the look they wanted while addressing design challenges and their storage needs:

The kitchen worked out great- especially making the island a darker wood color. An obstacle for the Robertson kitchen was a duct chase above the left pantry.

Kitchen Remodel Project Monrovia MDUnique cabinets were installed to avoid the duct work without disrupting the overall flow of the kitchen and to provide a kitchen pantry with ample storage space. A custom range hood adds a dramatic flair to the otherwise traditional tone of the cabinetry and decor.

We are beyond thrilled with the final product. We love the space we created, the flow of the kitchen and the additional storage we now have. We are so happy with the island area that allows the kids to do homework or just gather while we are cooking. We love the look and the feel of the kitchen. We spend so much time in the kitchen—breakfast, lunch, dinner, homework, family time, entertaining—it was well-worth the investment to remodel it to suit our needs. There is absolutely nothing I would do differently.
