The Davis family of Chevy Chase wanted to both update and expand their kitchen, blending the clean lines of modern cabinetry with the character of an older home. The end result is a bright, airy and functional space that can accommodate guests while offering cooking surfaces and a smooth flow into adjoining seating areas.
Working with Mike Bliss in the Cabinet Discounters Gaithersburg showroom, they used bright white Brighton cabinetry with modern hardware in stainless steel that adds to the multi- textured feel in the new space, despite its clean and simple lines. The island not only provides ample work space, but housed a wine fridge, microwave and large drawers for storage.
