After the successful transformation of a bedroom to a study, the Odys turned once again to Cabinet Discounters designer Jim O’Neil in the Gaithersburg showroom. Jim worked with them to design and install a custom wall unit and bookshelves in a basement room, transforming the space into a welcoming, functional area for reading, relaxing and entertaining!
“We decided to work with Cabinet Discounters (and specifically with Jim O’Neill) on our recent basement upgrade based on our good experience a few years earlier in turning a small bedroom into a home study for me. In both cases, we were very happy with the process, including Jim’s careful listening to what we thought we wanted, his helpful suggestions for options to solve various challenges, and his incredible patience with the time and the number of consultations it took us to make up our minds on the exact final design. And in both cases we were and continue to be very happy with the impeccable quality of the project as delivered. The most recent job helped us convert a once rather drab and semi-finished basement space into a very attractive family room that includes a wall unit customized to take an up-to-date entertainment system, and also a wet bar with wine storage space.” The Odys
Brighton Cabinets, maple wood species with Maple Autumn Haze finish and Valletta door style were used for this project. The counter top in the wet bar is Cambria Windermere quartz.
