Do you live in a smaller home? Does your kitchen not have enough space? Do you need an expanded storage area in your home? You’re not alone! A local family was in the same predicament and they knew something needed to be done.
“We’ve lived in our 1,300 square-foot house for 17 years. This gave me plenty of time to decide what changes would be best for us. Our 1939 vintage kitchen is really small, so storage space was at a premium. My slow-cookers, roasting pans, food processor and mixer all resided on a shelf in the basement until I needed them. Additionally, my good china and favorite vases were packed away this entire time. There just was no room for them in the kitchen.” – customer
After having looked around at several other locations, the family decided on Cabinet Discounters and our Annapolis showroom. It was there that they met with designer Lisa Callahan.
“The big box stores were okay, but I found Lisa at Cabinet Discounters to be the most knowledgeable and professional. After making an appointment, I brought in a photo and measurements of my dining room as well as the Pinterest photos, and Lisa took me through the display area. She worked up a drawing of my choices. It was nearly perfect. We ended up making several changes to the butler’s pantries over the next couple of weeks. We also discussed a custom feature – special corbels – and how to find them. After locating them on the internet, we sent them off to the cabinet fabricator to have them spray-painted to match the cabinet finish.” – customer
Working with Lisa, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry for her project with Cascade doors and Maple Lace color. The countertops are Caesarstone Montblanc quartz with beveled edge.
“I spent most of the following days in my dining room just looking at my butler’s pantries. Then I got to work unpacking favorite things that had been tucked away in boxes for years. Even those appliances were brought upstairs and are now just steps away from where I need them. Thanksgiving was great this year, as I had new counter space for serving, and my china and flatware was close at hand.” – customer
The family has been extremely pleased with the entire process.
“This has been a great experience. You always hope that a renovation is going to be problem-free, and we are lucky that was the case. Lisa always kept us informed of timelines. Cabinets were custom-built and ready on time. They were delivered in excellent shape.” – customer
