A Tale of Two Kitchens

The Daitch family resides in Olney, MD and after a vacation condo purchase, spends time relaxing in Ocean City. After deciding that both homes needed a kitchen renovation, they turned to Mike Bliss in the Gaithersburg Cabinet Discounters showroom for inspiration and guidance on both projects.

Mike worked along with them and their interior designer, Jeannette Filderman, to design two beautiful, functional and updated kitchens that they will enjoy for many years!

The Olney Kitchen

An older, builder grade kitchen is transformed into a new space with architectural detailing, mixed wood tones and a warm, cozy feel that makes it easy to cook, entertain and enjoy daily living.

Daitch11Daitch9My designer, Jeannette Filderman, has done a lot of work with Mike Bliss of Cabinet Discounters. She highly recommended him to me. Working with Mike and Cabinet Discounters was a great experience. Mike, Jeannette and I “clicked” and worked very well with each other. Mike is extremely knowledgeable of all the products Cabinet Discounters offers and has great design ideas along with a knack for problem solving. He really listened to me and sold me exactly the kitchen and bathrooms I envisioned.Mrs. Daitch

Brighton cabinets in cherry wood with a Churchill door style are complemented by Cambria Bradshaw quartz counter tops. The island is finished in Maple Heather with a Fairfield door style. Glass topped cabinets add height to the kitchen and draw your attention to the detailing in the stove hood and the crown molding. ~A classic kitchen that can be updated with changing trends in decor!

The Ocean City Kitchen

Looking for a bright, airy kitchen for their beach get away condo, they chose classic styled HomeCrest Cabinets in Maple wood with a Chino Opaque finish. The warm cabinet color is accented by Cambria Langdon quartz counters. The result is a cottage styled space that blends seamlessly with the adjoining living area and offers storage and functionality.

We purchased a condo in Ocean City, Maryland which was a rental unit for almost 18 years. Not only were the bathrooms and kitchen outdated the wear and tear of years of rentals can only be described as shabby and in complete disrepair. Again, Jeannette Filderman and I went to Mike, who assured me he could handle my job in Ocean City. I trust and enjoyed working with him so I didn’t even look anywhere else for cabinets. Mike and Cabinet Discounters couldn’t make me happier. Everything turned out beautiful!Mrs. Daitch

Mixed wood tones and modern stainless steel appliances provide visual interest and give the room a timeless appeal.
