Using Mary’s advice, the family selected Brighton Cabinetry for their new kitchen. The perimeter cabinets have a Monroe door style with a Maple Iceberg paint. The island cabinetry also features Monroe doors, but with a Cherry Sorrel finish. The hutch area, which is immediately adjacent to the kitchen, has the same cabinets as the kitchen perimeter. 
The contrasting of light and dark colored cabinets between the perimeter and the island add a pleasant splash of color to go along with the beige-colored backsplash and floor tile. The cherry island cabinetry also brings out the dark elements of the accent pieces along the backsplash. This new kitchen provides more functional storage and eases movement around the room for large get togethers with family and friends.
