“A Night and Day Experience From The Other Companies”

Doing your research when it comes to a kitchen remodel is always an important aspect to start any project. When looking around for a company with which to work, it may take some time before you find the right fit for your style or your budget. That’s just what a local family in Reston, VA did when they were looking for a new kitchen in their home.

After deciding to work with Cabinet Discounters, the family worked with our Chantilly showroom and met with designer Mary Banas.

“We contacted Mary at the Chantilly store. I talked with her briefly and sent her an email with the dimensions of the kitchen. When we went in to talk to Mary, it was a night and day experience from the other companies I had consulted with, which ultimately led to us choosing Cabinet Discounters. The cabinets were all plywood design, and seemed very well constructed. I came in with our contractor to look at the cabinets, and he agreed that they were a very good quality product.” – customer

The family was thrilled with their experience working with Mary on this project.

We brought our contractor in to help us with the final details of the kitchen design, and in a collaborative manner we came up with a design that we all loved. Mary was very responsive to us and our needs. We were trying to come up with a solution for the support of our round counter top, and she was sending us different ideas on how to make it cost effective and attractive. In the end she came up with an idea that solved our problem, and saved us $650!” – customer

Working with Mary, the customers selected HomeCrest Cabinetry with Dover Maple doors and Willow Opaque color. The countertops are LG Viatera Minuet quartz from Creative In Counters. This kitchen presented a unique issue with the rounded countertop, but Mary was able to come up with a design to support the unusually shaped island. The rounded end to the countertop allows for seating space at the island.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome, it is a dream kitchen! Every time we walk into the house and look at the kitchen, we can’t believe it is ours. During construction of the kitchen our carpenters commented on the quality of the cabinets. They couldn’t believe we got cabinets of this high a quality at the price we got them for. The time frame from ordering the cabinets to delivery was faster than any other cabinet company could promise us. As is usual with a project of this magnitude, there were times when things didn’t go according to plan. When that happened, Cabinet Discounters corrected everything that wasn’t 100% right in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Cabinet Discounters to anyone planning a kitchen remodel.” – customer
