Do you have wasted space in your home? Would a new bar space in your basement make entertaining easier? Could you use the extra storage? If you said yes to any of those things, you are in the same spot as a local family. They wanted to take advantage of an otherwise empty corner in their basement and utilize its convenience in their home.
“Our basement wasn’t used much and it felt like wasted space. So, we decided to add the dry bar to make the space more inviting and practical. We also wanted it to be something everyone in our family could use. Now, we are in the basement all the time.” – customer
After having looked around at other stores, the family felt unhappy. Their requests had been ignored. And so, acting on the recommendation of a friend, they visited Cabinet Discounters.
“Initially we started working with Lowe’s, but they didn’t return phone calls or emails. A friend of mine suggested I call Cabinet Discounters because she had used them, and had a great experience.” – customer
The family visited our Mt. Airy showroom. Once inside, they met with designer Wendy Ames. Everything seemed to just “click,” and they couldn’t be happier with the entire process.
“Wendy was amazing! She listened to what I wanted, drafted several ideas, and then worked with me to find cabinets and counter tops within my budget, that would fit my “design ideas”. The installers and delivery people were on time, quick and professional. They made the whole process easy.” – customer
Working along with Wendy, the customers selected Wolf Cabinetry with Dartmouth door style and White paint. The countertops are LG Viatera Sparkling Gray quartz with waterfall edge. We were able to provide the customers with glass cabinet doors, as they requested, to allow them to display their glassware. The new space now gives them plenty of room for entertaining, as well as an expanded area for storage.
“I love it! It makes me happy every time I walk into the space. We’ve used it for movie nights and pizza to appetizers for a holiday party. We used it a lot over the holidays and were pleasantly surprised at how useful it was to have and how well it fit into the design of our basement. We love the glass cabinet doors. We’ve been able to display my grandmother’s glassware. It would have been sitting in a box.” – customer
