Several years back, the Haughey family was in search of and updated kitchen. They weren’t quite ready at the time to make a commitment to a new space, so they waited a few years and that’s when they had had enough of their old kitchen.

Knowing that a remodeled kitchen would not only be functional for everyday use, but that it could also increase the eventual re-sale price of the home, the Haugheys turned to the Cabinet Discounters Olney showroom and designer Doreen Bliss. Impressed by the fact that Cabinet Discounters was able to provide installation for the entire project, the Haugheys got started on the job.

I thought about using my own contractor, but that fell through, so it seemed best to get it all done through your umbrella. With Doreen’s assistance, the Haugheys selected maple HomeCrest Cabinetry with a French Vanilla Opaque finish on the perimeter and a Willow Opaque finish on the island. Both the perimeter and island cabinets feature a Brenner door style and are adorned with Amerock pulls. The counter tops are a beautiful Twin Arch Bayou quartz and they are complemented by Villa Adriana 3×6″ Carrara porcelain tiles from Vallelunga with white grout for the backsplash.
