You’ve heard of the old school excuse of the dog eating your homework. But what happens when the dog eats your cabinets?! A local family experienced that exact problem. Not sure what to do, they decided to update the kitchen.
“Our dog chewed up some of our cabinets. We never liked the layout and had often talked about updating. When the dog attacked our cabinets one day when we were out, we decided it was time!”
After having originally entertained the idea of remodeling the kitchen on their own, the next step for this family was to find a company with which to work. They looked around a multiple different locations, but ultimately decided to work with Cabinet Discounters. So, they took a visit to our Chantilly showroom and met with designer Tammy Cote.
“We looked at reviews from other companies and Cabinet Discounters’ reviews. We pondered doing it ourselves but the way Cabinet Discounters laid it out to us (Tammy was wonderful!), it just seemed like it would be hassle free and save us a lot of legwork (and grief )!”
The customers have been extremely happy with all of our team who worked on their project. All the way from their designer to the delivery drivers, they were satisfied with everyone.
“Everyone was wonderful, start to finish. Very kind, professional, and always prepared to do everything possible to ensure everything was perfect. Joseff was our carpenter, and he was amazingly professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The tiling was also perfect!”
Working along with Tammy, the customers selected Brighton Cabinetry for their kitchen with Monroe Raised door style and Hickory cabinets with custom stain. The countertops are Cambria Havergate quartz with ogee edge. The backsplash is glass mosaic from Conestoga Tile.
“We are thrilled with the results. We are positive we have the absolute most beautiful kitchen in our entire neighborhood! It is a dream space with lots of room to prepare food, as well as cook. We both cook together, so having the space to work around each other was essential, and Tammy helped us create a layout that is perfect for that goal.”
Because of the pandemic, the family hasn’t been able to entertain a whole lot. But they’ve been able to spend plenty of their own time in the new kitchen and are enjoying every moment of it.
“Due to Covid-19, we haven’t been able to entertain much (at all), but we have enjoyed experimenting with all kinds of new recipes, since eating out hasn’t been an option for a while.”
