Are you looking to transform your basement? Have you been wanting a bar or a man cave for a while but aren’t sure where to start? A local family was in the same boat in their new home and was preparing to start on their project.
“When we originally built the house we had plumbing added to the basement for a bar. Wasn’t sure whether we would do something simple or something bigger. As we started measuring the space for this project we quickly realized bigger would be better.”
After having looked around at different stores and feeling unimpressed, the family spotted a Cabinet Discounters commercial on television and decided to give us a try.
“Being new to the area, we weren’t sure where to go, so we started at a big box store. The visit was underwhelming and I placed a call to our builder to see who did the rest of the work. But during that time I saw a Cabinet Discounters commercial so I thought ‘why not try.'”
The customers visited our Gaithersburg showroom to get started on their project. Once inside, they met with designer Jim O’Neil. They were immediately impressed with their experience and were pleased with Jim’s knowledge and expertise.
“What a great experience from day 1. Jim O’Neil listened to my ideas, showed me some of what they had done and added his ideas. We ordered at a busy time of the year, which delayed installation a bit, but it was worth the wait.”
In addition, the customers were also very happy with the work done by their installer.
“The installer was absolutely amazing. He took his time and made sure that everything was perfect. He left our basement spotless as the end of each work day.”
Working along with Jim, the customers selected Homecrest Cabinetry with Arbor Maple door style and Buckboard finish. The countertops are Ocre granite. The cabinets are arranged in the bar so that they are open and create easy access for cups, glasses, and other items. The bar also provides space for two mini fridges. This family now has a great new space in which to display their sports memorabilia and also to relax and entertain.
“We were able to have one party before COVID-19 hit but are looking forward to more and I have already sent Cabinet Discounters plans of our laundry room.”
