After arriving at the Cabinet Discounters Columbia showroom, the Zepf family worked with designer Lorraine Aldridge-Ey on designing a new space.
“Lorraine was very open to what we wanted and also made good suggestions without pressuring us. She listened to what we wanted, made some apt suggestions and sent a design that fit all of our needs, plus it looked really nice. She gave us sound advice and ideas regarding cabinets, tile, flooring and coordinating all the colors. And, she put together a complete budget – no hidden costs. Our contract showed us: this is what you will get, this is what it will cost, this is how long it should take.” – The Zepf family
With the suggestions from their designer, the Zepf’s new kitchen features maple HomeCrest cabinetry with Lautner doors and a Toffee finish. The cabinets are adorned with Kane Satin Nickel pulls. They are paired with Meganite counter tops in the Sonora color and a Florida Tile backsplash in the Streamline 3×6″ style.
Aside from the usual reason that many people remodel the Zepf’s had another reason to re-make their kitchen.
“Our kitchen was oddly designed and falling apart. We were looking for a nice wedding anniversary ‘thing to do.’ A kitchen re-do was a bit more expensive, but it was our anniversary gift to each other, and it would be a good investment.” – The Zepf family

“The installers were excellent. Very professional, great work. Really nice job on all the stuff people don’t see – the plumbing, wiring, carpentry, tiling prep – really well done. Good coordination of contracting schedules! When one piece was completed, the next phase usually started the next day. All of our questions and concerns were dealt with and resolved promptly, if a resolution was needed. Very few days, if any, where nothing was done. Most other kitchen remodels we have known about were either over budget or late or both. Our new kitchen was completed on budget and on time. And, we love it. Worth every penny.” – The Zepf family
